La Marmotte

Housed in a 125-year-old historic ice house, La Marmotte is one of the most romantic restaurants in Telluride. During the summer season, the patio is open with ample space to enjoy al fresco dining. Owner and Executive Chef Mark Reggiannini adheres to simplicity when cooking his French Bistro inspired food. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and worked as Sous Chef at Jean Georges Vongerichten’s Mercer Kitchen in NYC before arriving in Telluride. Favorite menu items include appetizers – Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, and Seared Deep Sea Scallops and main courses – Coq au Vin and Grueye and Arugula Stuffed Chicken Breast. The wine list is well balanced and the Tahitian Vanilla Bean Creme Brule and Rocky Mountain Crumble are knockouts.

La Cocina de Luz

The focus of this Telluride staple is Mexican and Southwestern cuisine prepared fresh! Daily specials can range from Posole to Wild Salmon Vegetarian Dishes. Enjoy the upbeat, sunshine-filled dining room or eat on the patio during warm weather. La Cocina servers breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers handmade organic ice cream!

Just around the block from Hotel Columbia, this intimate restaurant is a foodie’s delight. Located in a renovated house, from the cozy bar area to the larger dining room the restaurant oozes warmth and is the perfect setting for a romantic meal. Chef Eliza Gavin uses only the freshest ingredients and focuses on beef, game and seafood but also offers vegetarian options. On Sundays in the summertime, the patio is open for brunch and is the perfect haven on warm days.
