    A Year With Frog and Toad KIDS

    If you have kids, then you're probably familiar with the cheerful Frog and his grumpy best friend Toad. And if you're not familiar, then you're in for a treat. These two charming characters from the much beloved series of books by Arnold Lobel will be brought to life on stage by a cast of 29 young performers in grades 3 through 5. The play has a beautiful, upbeat score as it follows the two friends through each season of the year, as they plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, and go sledding, share some laughs, and learn lessons about life.

    Divine Openings Mountain Silent Retreat

    7th Annual Rundola

    Get your sweat on for a good cause before the rest of the day's festivities!
     The 4th of July kicks off with the Telluride Foundation's Rundola, a recreational foot race to benefit the Telluride Foundation. Participants begin at the base of the gondola in the town of Telluride and finish at the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia gondola mid-station.  Runners follow the Telluride Trail (4.600 feet long, 40 feet wide, 13% uphill grade) or can simply bushwack to the finish. The elevation gain is 1,810 feet from start to finish. Participants are grouped by age and gender into categories for the race.  You can register for the Rundola  here .

    Hardrock 100 Endurance Race

    The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run is an ultramarathon of 100.5 miles, 33,050 feet of elevation climb, 33,050 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 66,100 feet ran at an average of over 11,000 feet.
    The race is held on a loop course, including 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross country terrain in Southern Colorado's San Juan Mountain range. 
    The run begins and ends in Silverton, Colorado and travels through Telluride, Ouray and the ghost town of Sherman, and crossing 13 major mountain passes in the 12,000 to 13,000 foot (elevation) range. Completion of the event is marked by kissing the Hardrock, a picture of a ram's head painted on a large stone.

    The Ah Haa's annual fundraiser has been a must-attend summer event.

    Telluride Yoga Festival

    The Telluride Yoga Festival began in 2007 with Jivamukti instructor Aubrey Hackman's vision for a yoga event that went beyond physical exercise.

    Imogene Pass Run

    What began as a way to train for the Pike's Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race. The race from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot  Imogene Pass . This is a 17.1 mile point to point mountain race. The pass is a 4×4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline. The runners finish at the  Sheridan Opera House on Oak Street in Telluride.
